The Engineers Reuse Collective will host a talk on ‘Reusing Assets’ on 18 March at Webb Yates’ London office, 14 Wharf Road, with an option to join online.
Engineers will share live project examples of asset reuse, including structural steel, façades, and building services systems.
Elisa Sartori, Associate Director at Webb Yates, will contribute to the discussion from a building services perspective. Referencing Church House alongside other projects, she will focus on the practicalities of retaining and reworking existing systems. The session will cover condition assessments, capacity verification, system upgrades, and how these decisions translate into measurable embodied carbon savings.
Several engineering professionals will also present case studies addressing insurance, warranties, perceived risk, and design life in the context of reuse.
