The event is structured around a series of small-group rotations, enabling insurers and cost consultants to put targeted questions directly to architects, engineers, stone contractors, and manufacturers. Conversations will focus on the practical considerations that often sit behind decisions about using stone, including cost planning, risk, procurement routes, detailing strategies, and warranties.
The intention is to create space for open, technical exchange with those actively specifying and delivering stone in contemporary projects, particularly for professionals who may be curious about its application but lack a forum to test assumptions or raise concerns.
The event forms part of What lasts doesn’t always hold shape, the current exhibition at No.1 Poultry curated by Taylor Hall and Rebecca Jak. Presented by Hypha Studios, in collaboration with recessed.space, the exhibition reflects on endurance, adaptation, and the layered histories of the building and its stone façade. The exhibition programme runs until 7 March 2026.
