I have been able to work on a range of projects alongside the structural and civil teams, improving my overall understanding of these disciplines, and developing my sketching and calculation skills. I have particularly enjoyed working with GSA, Rhino and AutoCAD.

Elizabeth joined our structural and civil engineers earlier this Summer to complete an industrial summer placement, where she has been able to gain valuable hands on experience while spending time with our teams.
She is currently in her third year at the University of Sheffield working towards an MEng in Architectural Engineering.
It’s been really useful to gain insight into my potential career after I graduate. I had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects in my time here, and was able to improve lots of different skills including hand calculations, structural modelling, and sketching.

Max has recently completed an early summer industrial placement with our civil and structural team.
He is in his third year at the University of Bristol working towards a master’s in civil engineering. Max has a particular interest in sustainable structural design, which he has been able to develop while embedded within our team of dynamic and diverse engineers.
I was was able to enhance my skills in calculations, sketching, and aiding in design development of projects. I was able to thrive and appreciated the friendly working environment and the company’s initiative towards sustainability.

Jonathan has been learning with our building services team. He has graduated from the University of Bradford with MSc Advanced Chemical and Petroleum Engineering, with a keen interest and eagerness to now experience the work culture at Webb Yates Engineers. Jonathan is particularly interested in how the practice embeds sustainability in its approach to designing.
During his time working with the building services team, he has been able to gain a better insight into his career options, developing his skills in calculations and analysis.
