Our very own Jenny Haines, along with Giulliana-Florela Giorgi (Allies and Morrison) and Matt Robb (Stone Federation GB), has been awarded RIBA Scott Brownrigg Award for Sustainable Development.
The winning collaboration, titled ‘Unlocking Indigenous Stone Construction in the UK: A Guide for Sustainable Sourcing’, was recognised for the prestigious award for its potential to decarbonise the built environment while supporting rural economies. The research entails investigations into the current challenges and barriers within UK stone construction.
Interviews and discussions with various architects, engineers, stone masons, quarry operators, and other industry experts will take place as they aim to find potential solutions on how indigenous stone can be used more across the industry.
Congratulations to Jenny, Giulliana, and Matt.
