Webb Yates Engineers — Rosie Hudson

Rosie joined Webb Yates after graduating in 2021 and recently achieved Chartered Engineer status. She has worked on a wide range of projects across varying scales, sectors, and materials, developing a broad technical knowledge base through experience spanning small residential schemes, refurbishment work, and major airport remediation projects. Notable projects include a Fulham church redevelopment, shortlisted for a Structural Award, where a new timber superstructure was introduced within the retained façade. She also worked on a pioneering commercial retrofit project near Tower Bridge, which incorporated 100-year-old steel sections salvaged from another project. She has since shared insights from this work with the wider industry and university students.

She is enthusiastic and proactive in delivering sustainable and efficient structural solutions, with much of her work focused on the refurbishment of existing buildings. She is particularly interested in the use of digital tools to improve efficiency across the stages of project delivery.

Rosie graduated from the University of Bristol with a master’s degree in Engineering Design with a Year in Industry, during which she completed multiple placements at national engineering firms and a start-up focused on reducing construction waste.
