Max McNally
Graduate Engineer
MEng
Since joining Webb Yates in 2025, Max has worked on a range of engaging projects, including a hempcrete arch for Engineers Create, the refurbishment of a Victorian arts centre, and the analysis of a complex metal web joist frame in Oasys GSA. His early project experience reflects a growing confidence with both hands-on detailing and computational analysis.
A creative and focused engineer, Max is developing his skills in hand sketching, structural modelling and the use of low-carbon materials. He’s particularly interested in how regenerative design principles can guide practical engineering decisions, and he’s motivated by work that delivers clear social and environmental value.
Max graduated from the University of Bristol in 2025 with a master’s in Civil Engineering. He previously spent a placement with us, where he gained early structural experience on a residential refurbishment in London. In his final year, he deepened his knowledge of structural earthquake engineering and the analysis of wind turbines and farms, broadening his technical outlook.
