Matthew Tingle
Graduate Engineer
MEng
Matthew joined Webb Yates’ Birmingham team in 2025 and has since applied his technical grounding to a mix of lightweight timber projects, ambitious townhouse refurbishments, and education redevelopments shaped by low carbon goals. His work reflects a growing confidence in delivering efficient, buildable solutions across both retrofit and new build schemes.
He’s committed to widening access to engineering and plays an active role in the West Midlands IStructE Young Members Committee, helping to organise seminars and university outreach activities. Within Webb Yates, he contributes to the climate action unit, supporting efforts to embed meaningful sustainability targets across our work.
Matthew studied Engineering Science at the University of Oxford, where the multidisciplinary master’s programme gave him a broad understanding of structural, mechanical and aerospace engineering. Its emphasis on analytical thinking and adaptable problem solving continues to shape his approach today.
