Liam joined Webb Yates in 2019. Leading one of the Webb Yates structural engineering teams he has successfully delivered numerous projects, including a major redevelopment of the Rhodes Scholarship’s Grade II* listed base at the University of Oxford and the stirling Prize shortlisted Niwa House. He has a particular interest in complex refurbishments and novel materials, working closely across disciplines to develop efficient and elegant structural solutions.
In addition to his project work, Liam is part of the stone design steering group, with experience across a number of typologies of structural stone, delivering several unique projects with structural stone. He is also part of the company’s computational design team, pushing to improve the use of digital tools and innovation throughout the practice. He tutors at the RCA and London Metropolitan University.
Liam graduated from the University of Bath in 2014 with a degree in Civil and Architectural Engineering and spent 5 years at a global multi-disciplinary consultancy, where he led a diverse range of projects within the education, airports, and commercial sectors.
