George Fava
Graduate Engineer
MEng
George began his career with Webb Yates in 2024. He has been applying and developing his knowledge on a range of projects, including concept structural designs for the expansion of a science and research campus near Cambridge, and the redevelopment of several historic former artist studios in central London into residential use.
With a background in environmental sciences, George is passionate about designing low-carbon structures that balance functionality and beauty. He is particularly keen to integrate his skills in computational analysis and life cycle assessments to create impactful and sustainable designs.
George graduated with a master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Bristol in 2023. During his studies, he was the structural lead on a real-world restoration project and completed research into storm-resilient structures inspired by natural ecosystems. He also gained valuable on-site experience working on redevelopment projects, which gave him insight into bridging the gap between design and construction.
