Elen joined our team of structural engineers in 2024. She has quickly gained experience on a variety of projects, including the design of a new energy centre to serve a major regeneration project delivering a new park town in north London, and structural modelling for repurposing of a warehouse-style building in Walthamstow into an affordable council-run workspace.

Through her work, she is developing and applying her knowledge in the quantification of embodied carbon, as well as low carbon engineering design.

Elen graduated from the University of Sheffield with a degree in Structural Engineering and Architecture in 2023. Prior to joining Webb Yates, she undertook a role in the Resources Infrastructure Systems and Built Environment research group at the University of Sheffield, where she was involved in a project recording material stocks and embodied carbon in UK non-residential buildings.
