The piece was commissioned for the Invisible/Visible exhibition — one of nine exhibitions curated by Nicolas Dorval-Bory and Guillaume Ramillien and designed around the link between land and cities at the Biennale d’Architecture et de Paysage (Bap!) 2022 in Versailles, France.

The pavilion responds to the question ‘what forms can architecture take when you imagine it straight from materials and energy, from the very visible to the almost invisible?’.

The exhibition, which aimed to highlight a new generation of architects, artists and engineers who directly consider material, launched in May 2014 and ran for two months.
