The house is divided into living and a bedroom wings, connected by a fully glazed atrium with a feature stair. Every element of the stair acts in concert to provide an ultra-low profile, torsional cantilevered stair with a clear span monocoque half landing and Vierendeel truss balustrades.

The first floor living space and bedroom suite overlook the surrounding woodland, and the cantilevered terrace runs along the south façade, extending the living space into the landscape and providing solar shading. The building’s structure is formed of a composite steelwork frame with Holorib decking. The ground and first floor slabs are reinforced concrete, with the first floor spanning onto the load bearing blockwork.

The swimming pool, enclosed by glazing, has a 6x5m glass and stainless steel roof, which is retractable to allow the pool which to be open-air when desired.
