The building provides the community with 16 changing rooms, equipment stores, a gym, and welfare facilities, as well as open plan offices on the upper floor.
Significant economies were made in the construction of the building by employing cellular blockwork walls at the lower level and an open steel frame and lightweight roof at the first-floor level. The building is designed to complement the adjacent first team training building with its free weathering brass cladding to the gables and eaves.
