Three projects shortlisted for New London Awards

469 Bethnal Green Road, Paradise, and Workstack have each been shortlisted in different categories at this year’s New London Awards.

Three of our projects have been recognised in the 2025 New London Awards, which highlight schemes that demonstrate the positive impact of high-quality design, planning, and construction across the capital.

What links them all is workspace. From industrial to creative to office environments, each scheme shows how sustainable design and engineering can shape the future of where London works. Together they point to a shift away from wasteful demolition and generic sheds towards workplaces that are low carbon, flexible, and built to last.

Workstack – shortlisted in the Industrial & Logistics (Built) category
Set on a constrained site in Charlton, Workstack provides 14 affordable industrial units within a compact cross-laminated timber structure. Our team delivered the building services engineering design and SuDS strategy for the project.

469 Bethnal Green Road – shortlisted in the Retrofit (Built) category
Once marked for demolition, this 1970s warehouse has been retained and reimagined. Our services and energy strategy supported the retrofit and vertical extension, doubling capacity to create flexible, low-carbon workspaces.

Paradise – shortlisted in the Workplaces (Built) category
On Old Paradise Street in Lambeth, the former Costa Roastery has been transformed into over 60,000ft² of mass timber office space. We delivered the structural and civil engineering for what is now the UK’s lowest embodied carbon office development.

Congratulations to the teams involved in all the shortlisted projects.
