The New London Architecture has revealed the shortlist of the New London Awards 2021. We’re pleased to announce that four of our London projects have been recognised in this year’s awards across three categories. 

The Queen of Catford

Shortlisted in the dwelling category, The Queen of Catford is a pre-regeneration housing project in Catford town centre for Lewisham council. Designed by Tsuruta Architects this micro development sits on a small infill site contains 5 flats and two commercial units.

Elephant Park Pavilion and Hampton Pool

We have two projects shortlisted in the unbuilt category, a category that exemplify a future for London that is sustainable, diverse and egalitarian. 

Elephant Park Pavilion, designed in collaboration with Bell Phillips Architects, is a new single-storey CLT pavilion that will sit at the centre of Elephant Park, accommodating a refreshment kiosk, a new community space, WCs and a terrace overlooking the park. Hampton Pool, a project we're working on together with Wimshurst Pelleriti, is a new £5 million redevelopment of the buildings and facilities at Hampton Pool to create a fully accessible, highly sustainable and future proof community asset.

373 Euston Road (Cambridge House)

Shortlisted in the learning category, 373 Euston Road, designed by Penoyre & Prasad, is a dynamic new Teaching & Learning Centre for Birkbeck, University of London in a prominent location on London’s Euston Road.

The awards celebrate the projects that best create a sustainable, civilised and egalitarian city, that seek to improve the quality and standards of new design and respect London’s rich mix of old and new. Winners will be announced from November 2021.
