New London Awards Shortlisting






The New London Architecture has revealed the shortlist of the New London Awards 2020. We’re delighted to announce that five of our London projects have been recognised in this year’s awards across five categories. The awards celebrate the projects that best create a sustainable, civilised and egalitarian city, that seek to improve the quality and standards of new design and respect London’s rich mix of old and new.
Caring
Kantor Centre of Excellence: The Anna Freud Centre
The first centre of excellence for children & young people’s mental health in England, bringing together the best in research, policy & practice for the Anna Freud Centre & the Pears Family School.
Conserving and Working
A transformation of an anonymous, foreboding 1980s office into a contemporary, bright, flexible office and co-work building in Kings Cross, achieving BREEAM Excellent.
Working
Old Paradise Street will transform a neglected and disused site into a forward-looking sustainable office building which might become a test case for promoting awareness around the carbon impact of buildings.
Dwelling
Contemporary yet timeless, Fleet House is conceived as an act of urban repair within the rich historic context of its setting in Hampstead Village, north London.
Housing
The Rye Apartments is a development of ten sustainable apartments in two buildings overlooking Peckham Rye Park.
Winners will be announced from November 2020.
