Mark Day 5

CEng MEng(Hons) MIStructE

Mark joined Webb Yates Engineers in 2011 and has taken on a number of technically challenging projects since joining, including a number of complex projects at Heathrow Airport, the renovation of an 1820s four-storey warehouse, a number of new build and refurbishment residential developments, and the design of several bespoke staircases with minimal structural depth. He approaches engineering problems with a creative mind-set and a keen attention to detail and enjoys working collaboratively with the design team to find the best solutions.

Mark graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2006. His early projects included the assessment of the Victoria Palace Theatre to determine structural integrity to allow the new Crossrail link was to run directly underneath, and the design of a scaffold system that would maintain the façade during the lengthy construction period. He also worked on the design of reinforced masonry flood defences for the Meadowhall Shopping Centre in Sheffield following the floods of 2007.
