We are thrilled to announce that our York House project together with dMFK Architects for The Office Group has been shortlisted for the Brick Awards Innovations category.

The Brick Awards celebrate the best examples of clay brick in our built environment. Each year the awards attract the entry of exemplary projects from the industry’s leading architects, housebuilders, developers and contractors, across 17 categories. We are incredibly honoured to be shortlisted for their awards ceremony this November.

York House is an eight-storey new build and refurbishment scheme providing flexible co-working space The Office Group. The existing building has been renovated with new extensions added to the rear and the front- restoring and animating the streetscape while providing additional floor area and flexible working spaces. Behind the self-supporting brick wall, the primary structure is a simple cross laminated timber structure with openable windows. The façade is restrained horizontally at each floor level except at the first floor, and tied back to the CLT floor slabs at alternating brick overlaps. The building has been awarded a BREEAM Excellent certification – taking the building’s efficiency rating from G to A.

Winners of these awards will be announced at an awards ceremony in London in November.
